01About these terms

These terms apply when you order from Chatpata Express on chatpataexpress.com or in the Chatpata Express app. By creating an account or placing an order you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

02Your account

Give your real name and a working mobile number and email, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for orders placed from your account. Accounts are for people aged 18 or over.

03Orders and prices

Menu prices are in Indian rupees and include applicable taxes unless shown otherwise. Prices, dishes and offers can change; the price you see at checkout, confirmed by our server, is the price you pay.

An order is a request until our kitchen accepts it. We may decline an order — for example when the kitchen is too busy, a dish has run out or the address is outside our delivery area — and we tell you why at once. You pay nothing for a declined order.

04Delivery

We deliver within the area shown in the app (currently about 8 km from our kitchen in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow). Delivery times are estimates; traffic, weather and busy hours can delay them. Please give an accurate address and pin, keep your phone reachable, and share your 4-digit delivery code with the rider only when your order reaches you.

05Payment

You pay the rider in cash or by UPI when your food arrives. Please keep the exact amount or your UPI app ready. Refusing a delivered order without a valid reason, or repeated cancellations, may lead to your account being restricted.

06Cancellations, refunds and complaints

You can cancel free of charge in the app while the order is still waiting for the kitchen. Once the kitchen has started cooking, please message or call us — food that has been prepared generally cannot be cancelled.

If something is missing, wrong or not right with your food, tell us in the order’s chat or by phone within 2 hours of delivery, with a photo if you can. We will make it right — a replacement or a credit on your next order, or a refund of the amount paid by UPI where appropriate. See also our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

07Food, allergies and hygiene

Our menu is vegetarian. Dishes are made fresh in a kitchen that handles dairy, gluten (wheat), nuts, sesame and spices, so we cannot promise any dish is free of an allergen. If you have an allergy, write it in the note for the kitchen and call us before ordering. Chaat is best eaten fresh — please eat it soon after delivery.

08Fair use

Please be respectful to our team and riders in chats and calls. Do not misuse the service — for example by placing fake orders, abusing staff, or trying to break or overload the app. We may suspend accounts that do.

09Liability

We take care with every order, but to the extent the law allows, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect losses or for delays beyond our control. Nothing here takes away a right you have under consumer protection law.

10Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please write to us first — most problems are solved that way. Disputes that are not resolved are subject to the courts of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

11Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version; continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
